If you aren’t sure that carrots can actually be grilled or not, then let us tell you that they can be. They’ll make a wonderful recipe. So, here are the ingredients that would help in creating the grilled carrot recipe.
With these ingredients, you can make grilled carrots for 6 people.
2 lb. medium carrots (peeled with ends trimmed)
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoon mint (chopped)
Pepper (To taste)
Salt (to taste)
1.You’ll have to follow these directions to prepare your grilled carrots:
2.Firstly, preheat your grill. Adjust the flame to high, so that the heat spread all across the grill.
3.Before putting the carrots on the grill, make sure that one side of the burner is turned off.
4.In a bowl, put carrots with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss these ingredients well so that all the carrots get seasoned with this mixture.
5.Place a copper grill mat on the side on where the burner is on. Now just put the carrots on the copper grill mat. Initially, you’ll have to cook your carrots on the copper grill mat to prevent from sticking and flares up. A copper grill mat coated with Teflon is non stick and keep carrots from falling through the grate.
Note: it will take 7 to 10 minutes to grill on the direct heat. Don’t leave your carrots for more than this time, as it is going to ruin them completely.
6.After these 7 to 10 minutes, put the carrots on the grill where you have put the burner off. Let your carrots cook there until they are tender. It will take around 17-20 minutes more.
7.When they’ll get tender, a slight change in color would also be observed. You should put them to a platter.
8.Meanwhile, mix lemon juice and olive oil together.
9.When you have platted your carrots, put this mixture on these carrots.
You can either serve grilled carrot at room temperature or grill hit; you don’t have to chill them in the refrigerator.
You can use any of the grilled meat that your family loves for serving your grilled carrots. In this way, you can actually expect your children to eat vegetables too.
Keep this in mind that not all of your carrots will be cooked at the same time. Their thickness would determine the time required achieving full tenderness; this is why it is important to check each of your carrots before plating. Or even one uncooked carrot could spoil your entire taste.
Grilled carrots are definitely a different sort of recipe that you can enjoy with your family. If you are fed up with grilled or baked potato recipes, then these carrots could be a life savior for you and your family. Make sure to check each of the carrots for a perfect taste.
