BBQ Recipe: Grilled Tandoori Chicken

Ingredients:
The following ingredients are mentioned in the quantities to serve four people. Let’s have a look at the ingredients:
2 pounds chicken (cut into pieces)
2 tablespoon lemon
1.5 cups yogurt
Salt To Taste
½ onion (finely chopped)
1 tablespoon ginger (grated)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon black pepper
2 teaspoon cilantro (chopped)
1 lemon (cut into wedges for decoration)

Directions:

Following are the directions to prepare Grilled Tandoori Chicken:
1.Put the pieces of chicken in a dish. Sprinkle some salt and lemon juice on the pieces of chicken and let the chicken absorb them.
2.Note: it will take around 20 minutes at least. You can set aside your chicken pieces for longer if you have enough time.
3.Take another bowl and mix yogurt, onion, garlic, ginger, pepper in it. Make sure to mix all these ingredients till a smooth consistency of the mixture is reached.
4.When this mixture is ready, put it on the chicken. Make sure it covers the chicken completely.
Note: keep the chicken in marination for about 6 hours. You can increase the marination time depending upon your cooking requirements. Make sure to put it in the refrigerator and don’t leave it on room temperature or else it might rot.

5.Once you are ready for grilling, preheat the grill on the medium-high flame. Then put a BBQ grill mat on the grate to prevent from sticking.


6.Put some oil on the BBQ grill mat.
7.Put the chicken on the BBQ grill mat for cooking.
8.When it turns to brownish red, you should know that it is ready. Its aroma and texture would also help you in judging when it is perfectly done. Usually, it takes 5-7 minutes on each side for proper cooking.
9.Although this recipe works totally fine if you are over-concerned about the chicken juice and texture, then you can wrap it in aluminum foil. Doing this additional step will make it sure that the moisture of the chicken is intact and you’ll get the scrupulous chicken in your meal.

10.Plate it out and put lemon wedges and cilantro on it.
