One can never go wrong with the good old traditional chicken wings. Whether it be a kid, a youngster or pretty old enough grown-up man, everyone loves chicken wing. It is among one of the foods that faces no age discrimination and time limitation. It can be eaten as lunch, brunch, hi-tea or even dinner. What an all-rounder meal! Ain’t it?

But what if we add a hint of spark in it? Why shouldn’t we take this simple meal to the next level of scrumptiousness! But you must be wondering how! Let me tell you. Let’s grill ’em! I assure you, you will be stunned by the extent of a difference grilling can make to the simple chicken wings!

This meal comes with a surprise, a heavenly dipping sauce! Grilled chicken wings with a finger-licking sauce are undeniably perfect soul mates. Truly made for each other!

Ingredients for grilled chicken wings:

Garlic powder

Onion powder

Dried thyme

Cayenne

¼  tsp

Chicken wings washed and pat dried  

2 lb.

Vegetable oil

Enough to lubricate non-stick grill mat

 

Ingredients for sauce:

½ cup

Lemon juice

Dijon mustard

1 tbsp.

horseradish

2 tsp

fresh chives, chopped

2 tsp. 

hot sauce

1 tsp.

 

Direction for grilled chicken wings:

Step 1:

Place the non stick grill mat over the grill to avoid dropping wings under the grill gaps and let the wings cook thoroughly without sticking onto the grills or burning immediately since it prevents direct contact with the fire.


Step 2:

Preheat the grill on the medium heat.

Step 3:

Meanwhile, combine all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. This includes paprika, lemon zest, salt, thyme, onion powder, cayenne and garlic powder. Wisk them thoroughly.

Step 4:

After washing the chicken thoroughly, pat dry it with the help of a clean towel or a tissue.

Step 5:

Put it into the bowl with all spices in it. Combine them and coat the chicken wings properly into all the spices.

Step 6:

Oil the non stick grill mat with vegetable oil.

Step 7:

Place the spice coated chicken wings over the hot non stick grill mat.

Step8:

Toss both the sides of the chicken wings until its skin gets crisp and cooked well done for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 9:

Take the juicy and tender wings out and present it on a platter.

Direction for the sauce:

Step 1:

Combine together mayo, horseradish, lemon juice, hot sauce, mustard and chives together in a bowl.


Step 2:

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and voila you’re done!
