If you are looking for spending good family time, then cooking for them is one great option. Talking about cooking in summers, one cannot help but think of a smoky BBQ. BBQ-ing in an open and soothing environment with children playing around or friends jamming up would certainly lock the deal!

So if you are looking for an amazing, new, scrumptious grill recipe but without a mess then look no further! The idea of grilling and mess seems like a synonym but who on earth would want to clean up the mess! So I present you one of the tastiest and mouth-watering grill dish of all time, BBQ Cajun Shrimp Foil Packets.


This dish contains the wholesome combinations of Cajun, shrimps, sausages and good old grilled corns! That’s the tidiest dish you may have come across. All you need is to throw all the ingredients in merely one foil packet, fold it up and place it in on the grill. That’s it! So easy, isn’t it?

So hold up your tongs, tighten up your apron, lit the grill up and get ready to chill out and enjoy the most delectable meal in a hot breezy summer evening!

The ingredients you need are:

Corn on the cob, pieces cut in half or up to your likeliness

Red potatoes, washed, rinsed and cubed

Uncooked shrimps, peeled or unpeeled

Smoked sausage, cut in chunks

Melted butter/olive oil

Chicken broth

½ cup

Creole/Cajun seasonings

1 Tbsp

Pepper

To taste


Additional and optional ingredients to add:

Italian sausage

Chicken, cut in chunks

Bell peppers

Mushrooms

Red onions

Celery

Carrots

Equipment you need:

· Barbecue grill

Directions:

Step 1:

Lit up your barbecue grill and heat it for about 400 degrees.  

Step 2:

Make a packet or a pot with 4 hard foil sheets of the size, enough to fit in the ingredients.

Step 3:

Fill the foil packet up with corn, shrimps, potatoes and sausages and evenly spread them all around.

Step 4:

Pour the chicken broth over the uniformly distributed ingredients

Step 5:

Drizzle the melted butter on top of it.

Step 6:

Conceal the foil packet tightly so that no air passes through it. Fold the edges and its corner overlapping one another to seal the vacant spaces tightly.

This will help infuse the flavors and cook in less amount of time.

Step 7:

Place the packet over the hot grill and grill it for about 30 to 40 minutes until the ingredients are tender.

Step 8:

Flip the foil packet after halfway done for uniform cooking.

Step 9:

Insert either a knife or a chopstick to check for tenderness. Don’t use bare hands. The steam caged inside the foil is too hot!

Additional Note:

Some may face difficulty in having their potatoes done in time. So it is recommended to either semi-boil the potatoes beforehand or microwaves it for a minute. This will cut off the probability of undone potatoes after grilling. You may also cut it in relatively smaller chunks for quick tenderness.
