BBQ Recipe: Grilled Ginger Beef Skewers

Beef skewers can be one of the best dishes that can be used as an appetizer as well as the entre. This dish is not difficult to prepare but it can taste so delicious that you might end up making it daily. Don’t you believe us? You can try this recipe on your own and then decide if our claim is right or not. So, we guess, we just need to start the recipe so you can make your own decision. 

Ingredients:
Here are the ingredients needed for this recipe. With the following quantity of ingredients, you can serve four people:
2 tablespoon hoisin sauce
3 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoon sherry
½ tablespoon barbecue sauce
1.5 green onions (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon minced ginger

1 pound steak (cut into small pieces)

Directions:
1.You’ll have to follow the directions given below for making this recipe.
2.Take a small bowl and mix sherry, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, barbecue sauce, garlic, ginger and green onion. 
3.Meanwhile, the small pieces of meat should be put in a reusable plastic bag. 
4.Pour the mixture formed with all the ingredients in this bag. 
Note: make sure to mix the mixture and the pieces of meat properly, so that every piece can get in contact with the marinating mixture. 
5.Put this reusable bag in 2 hours in refrigerator.
Note: you must keep the meat for at least 2 hours. However, if you have enough time, you can keep it overnight. It will help in better absorption of the mixture. 

6.Meanwhile, preheat the grill so that it gets even heat throughout and then put a non stick grill mat on the grate to keep grill clean and prevent from sticking. Moreover, a non stick grill mat can keep beef skewers from falling through the grate. 


7.Now put the pieces of meat on the skewers and discard the extra marinade.
8.Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat. Discard marinade, and thread steak on skewers. 
9.Make sure to put oil in the grate first. 
10.Put the skewers on the non stick grill mat and let the meat cook. 
Note: you’ll have to wait for 6 minutes in total for cooking the meat completely. That means 3 minutes on each side. However, you can check it for tenderness and adjust the cooking time accordingly. 
11.Put the skewers in plate and get the meat pieces out smoothly.

12.Garnish them with chopped green onions.


Serving:
You can also consider one of the variations in this recipe. Rather than skewing all the pieces of beef together. You can add a few vegetables in the recipe as well. Use these vegetables alongside with meat on the skewers and you’ll get a good combination of meat and vegetables for you. 
Serving it with ketchup, mayonnaise and specially made tomato sauce could prove to be a good combination. 
Pita bread or Nan (from the Asian cuisine) can also go well along with this dish.
