BBQ Recipe: Mexican Grilled Chicken

Another recipe for grilled chicken that we have brought for you is from Mexico. The strong flavors and the aroma of the Mexican dishes is something that most of you would have never experience before. Thus, it is going to be a new addition in your menu and recipe list. So, if this is making you excited, let’s not take any more of your time for discussing this recipe and let’s start it right away. 

Ingredients:

The following ingredients are going to serve four people. Here are the ingredients:
4. Pieces chicken breast (halved, making a total of eight pieces)
1 Garlic clove (large)
1/4 tablespoon Chipotle (dried powder)
½ tablespoon oregano (Mexican)
½ onion 
½ teaspoon cumin seeds
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon cilantro
Salt to taste
2 lemons (juice extracted)

¼ cup olive oil 

Directions:
1.You need to follow the steps mentioned below to get your Mexican grilled chicken ready.
2.Mix onion, garlic, cumin seeds, black pepper, paprika, lemon juice salt and olive oil. 
Note: you can use a blender for creating affine mixture. It will help in equal distribution of the taste of all ingredients and better absorption in the chicken breasts
3.Pound your chicken to make them thinner. Don’t pound them too much or too less. Try your best to keep the size of your chicken equally. It will look good aesthetically.
4.Pour this mixture of all ingredients on the chicken and leave it for marination. You can use the bowl for marinating chicken or you can go for specific zip top bags to ensure that the smell from the other foods doesn’t get into your chicken and your chicken remains marinated. 
Note: 3 hours if marination is essential but you can definitely increase this time for better taste. Marinating overnight is best.
5.When you are ready for grilling, then heat the grill on medium-high flame. Place a piece of non stick grill mat on the grate to prevent from sticking and make your grill clean.
Note: this will make sure your entire grill is heated and none of its areas is left cold.
6.Put some oil on the grate and place your chicken breast on the grill. 
7.You’ll need 5-7 minutes of time for each side to get cooked. 
Note: it will start changing its color, which will tell you when it is cooked. However, make sure to keep the internal temperature of the chicken to at least 165 degree before removing it out of the grill. 
8.In case the inner temperature is not up to the minimum mark set, but the outer layer is cooked, then you can remove your chicken breasts from the grill and place it in the oven. This will make your chicken breasts perfectly cooked.
9.When your chicken gets to the perfect color, remove it from the grill.

10.Let it rest for 10 minutes and then cut it into pieces for serving.


Serving:
You can serve Mexican chicken with ketchup and any of your special sauces. It would be a good way of serving.
