Grilled shrimp with Turmeric Mojo Sauce
Why do you like shrimps? Shrimp is known for its perfect taste, but apart from that, it can be one of the best options to cook when making urgent plans. It is because shrimps can absorb the flavor of the marinating speedily as compared to the other types of meats. 6 garlic cloves (smashed)
3 Haberano chilies (chopped after removing seeds)
Ginger (peeled and sliced)
½ cup of orange juice
½ cup lemon juice
2 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
½ tablespoon turmeric
½ vegetable oil
Salt to taste
1.5-pound shrimps (cleaned)
1.Put all the ingredients in a food processor. These ingredients include chilies, garlic, ginger, sugar, lemon juice, orange juice, vinegar, and turmeric.
Note: you need to smooth the entire mixture.
2.Add a ½ cup of oil while the mixture is still processing.
Note: make sure to add the oil gradually in the mixture so that the oil would blend together with the other ingredients smoothly.
3.Divide this mixture into two halves. Set aside one half of this mixture for serving whereas using the other half for marinating the shrimps.
4.Add shrimps in this mixture and toss for coating.
Note: It won’t require too much time for the shrimps to get the flavor from marinating. Putting it for half an hour would be enough.
5.When coated, you need to grill the shrimps.
6.Heat the grill for the even distribution across every point.
7.Place a BBQ grill mat on the grate to ensure that your shrimps would not stick to the grill.
8.Let the shrimps stay on the BBQ grill mat for approximately one minute on each side. It will lead to a change in color from the raw to slightly brownish shade.
9.This is the time to serve the dish. So dish it out.
10.The sauce that was set aside must be poured on it and served.
